RODE Stereo VideoMic is a directional condenser microphone, designed for recording a perfect sound alongside digital cameras and other personal electronics. Due to its size, it is easy to attach to a camera mount or a boom pole. Two 1/2" condenser capsules with high resolution are firmly placed in a position, where they provide naturally sounding stereo recording. It has its own windscreen so the wind does not lower the quality of the recording.
Unwanted noises when manipulating with the microphone are prevented by an anti-shock mounting system, which effectively dampens vibrations that could escalate into an unpleasant rumbling. Optional -10dB gain level allows recording of loud sound sources such as live music performances or motorsport. Another advantage is the adjustable high-pass filter that raises the sensitivity from 40Hz to 80Hz to avoid disturbing rumbler coming from low frequencies.
