A design problem that is not obvious from the picture, and which is not a general problem of vertical mice, but of this mouse: Unlike a "proper" vertical mouse, it does not have sufficient handrest or thumbrest. The shape, however, does not even allow use when the pinky edge is placed on the table - the buttons are too high and the non-functional support of the pinky edge bumps into the hand. The hand cannot be released with this mouse. After half an hour, cramp in palm/thumb, carpal pain and arm pain. I've never met such a bad mouse before. I think that even the cheapest mouse, if at least 80% "fit", is much healthier than this mouse. I bought the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse instead of the broken one, but I'm returning it and will probably end up buying the expensive semi-vertical Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse again.
Unless you have a giant hand, none.
The support of the pinky edge is not enough, so the hand slides down. The support of the pinky edge is too large to allow the hand to rest the pinky edge on the table and the mouse to be controlled with the fingers. Thumb/hand support is zero - the hand cannot be held freely and slides down. The thumb cutout is too large (mouse too slim here) and the large hand closure encourages cramping in the palm/thumb. The hand cannot be free. The mouse wheel is hard to press.
Pleasant to hold, three levels of sensitivity, easy to install
fits precisely in the hand super buttons on the side possibility to adjust the DPI
great malik support; despite the size S sufficient for hand size M/L; better support than many other tested sizes and L the thumb recess is well shaped and yet the overall width of the cape is quite wide, so it holds well price
the older model (without the mouse pictogram on the USB adapter) sometimes does not connect after the laptop has gone to sleep, but it is enough to turn it off and on; the newer version (with the pictogram on the USB connector) doesn't have these problems, so maybe they've solved it
