The Fractal Design Define S borrows the appearance, sound dampening technology, and support for a wide variety of components from the widely popular Define Series, while introducing a new, innovative internal layout. The Define S case is packed with intelligently designed enthusiast-oriented high-performance components, delivering a silent case with powerful and expansive air and water cooling system support. You can display all your hardware through a transparent window for everyone to admire
The upgraded internal layout of the Define S omits the 5.25" optical drive bays or cages for 3.5" drives. The discs are now installed vertically on the inner wall which leads to direct airflow from the front panel. The space can also be used for a water cooling system. You are also able to mount bulky fans (from 360mm to 420mm) to the front ceiling of the case.
The Define S case reaches the highest level of silent computing through strategically placed dense sound-absorbing material. The noise is also reduced through the use of finely tuned, mounted 14mm Dynamic Series fans, and special attention has been paid to the dust filters covering the front and lower air intakes.
In addition to the on/off buttons on the top panel, you also have a reset button, as well as headphone and microphone outputs. Two USB 3.0 ports are also available for the convenient connection of external drives or other devices, through which huge amounts of data can be transferred over time. You can install a graphics card of up to 425mm (with the front fan installed) or 450mm (without the front fan installed).
