The developers from Sledgehammer Games spent three years on this game and it shows. With an immersive narrative, improved vertical level design and many futuristic gadgets, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is another breathtaking adrenaline ride from start to finish. Millions of fans have come to expect nothing less from the legendary Call of Duty series. See for yourself and experience futuristic warfare like never before!
Famous Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey provides a sprinkle of stardust in his role as chief of the largest private military organization in the world. With great power comes great responsibility, but also - at least for Spacey's character - great desire to influence history in his favour. The year is 2045 and he controls the only capable army around, making him the center of all military and political events. Playing as an elite soldier, you are tasked with taking missions all over the world and maybe over time you'll start to see that something doesn't feel quite right.
In the near future, a soldier is no longer defined as a pile of muscles in green tracksuits. Now, the word means a monster set in a special exoskeleton which adds superhuman abilities. With the exosuit you can jump to the height of a multi-storey building, flip cars to form a defensive barricade and much more. And that's nothing compared to the multiplayer mode.
With the advent of the exoskeleton, the rules of conventional multiplayer gaming no longer apply. Aside from increasing your physical strength, the suit is also equipped with a regenerating battery that lets you use special abilities for a short amount of time. Hovering, invisibility and a bulletproof shield will become part of your fighting tactics and other useful options will unlock over time as you level up. However, the game is smart enough to not give you access to all the powers at once, thus encouraging honest teamwork and clever cooperation with other players.
Like its predecessors, Advanced Warfare has a reward system with more than a thousand available rewards. Various weapons, exoskeleton improvements and pieces pf unique character equipment are available in three qualitative levels: Enlisted, Professional and Elite. Before you go to battle with your brand-new equipment, you might want to pop over to a virtual shooting range where you can test everything. After all, you don't want to be embarassed before your teammates!
As always in Call of Duty, impressive and crisp graphics are a strong point. We'll let you be the judge based on the in-game pictures and trailers...
